Shutter is a thin plane hovering slightly off the wall. Embodying the logic and mechanics of a camera, Shutter opens to cast graduated levels of light across the surrounding surfaces. Constructed of a stamped aluminum body and a hinged door, the fixture works like a simple magnetic cabinet. When tapped, the door slowly and incrementally opens to a maximum of 10 degrees. LEDs shed light from behind a bellows-like diffuser. Shutter works like a door cracked open with light streaming through. Design in development.
